I want people back home to be able to be a part of my life. Therefore, I have created this blog where friends and family can see pictures of me and read some of my thoughts. Enjoy....and Experience Phillip!

CLS Class continuation

Continuation...

And heee's ooouuuutttttta there
That's gum in my mouth. It looks like my eyes are rolled back, but it's just the redeye effect in the photo.Look how white my hand is.

"easy..hold his head"

They said I was still chewing my gum when I was passed out...haha

Waking up...and seeing the humor in the situation.

Getting cleaned up and trying to get my color and hearing back. Your hearing goes fuzzy and tunneled when you pass out. Usually I notice that to happen before I pass out. I didn't notice it this time until I woke up...bummer.

All in a day's work

This is a good way to get people at work to remember who you are...haha Okay, maybe it's not the best way to be remembered though.

miss you all

Sorry I missed it! You do have great veins! Those of us that have had the experience of trying to start an I.V.on a 9 month pregnant redhead look longingly at your great veins!! Hope you are feeling better. Miss you too! (Not just your veins.)

I thought you'd like this one, Martha. You know what I thought was cool? I never noticed it before, but with the constricting band on, and my arm down at my side, you can see A LOT of the valves in my veins. They are so clear. I didn't count them, but they probably numbered more than 25...that I could see anyway. The medics used me as an exapmle to show the others where not to put the IV. It was a fun time, even with the passing out.

Oh yeah, isn't this the perfect time to pass out too? When you already have an IV in you...haha
It's like "oh no, he's going into shock...get an IV in him..oh wait...just put his feet up, he's good"

I think you should use the "gum in your mouth" picture for your blog picture!
Did anyone else think the "waking up" picture showed Phillip's head in a pool of blood?

Thanks for the pictures. I was wondering what your little brother looked like when he passed out giving blood. This is getting ridiculos, First Spanish, then Turkish now German, and now passing out. Could you PLEASE pass along some good traits that his parents can share in. (Even though we are catching to the the languages!!!!)

Thanks! I haven't laughed like that in a while. It had to be at someone's expense. Thanks for volunteering. I remember you talking about passing out once before when you were giving blood. But that's just a story.
But THIS...this is like a storyBOOK.

...and yes, Ralph, you are not alone, that did look a puddle of blood under his head. It looks like a still photo from a CSI episode...except for that goofy grin plastered on his face.

Thanks for the laugh, little brother. I owe you one.

Wow, I never noticed it, but that DOES look like blood under my head in that one picture. It's actually just a sweater.
I'm glad that I could give everyone a good laugh..haha. I have a feeling people will view this posting more than once. Maybe when they need a good pick-me-up.

Angela, you should be happy that one of my pictures wouldn't upload. It was a close-up of my bleeding arm on the table...still attached of course.

Amy, I actually told the widdling story not too many minutes before this all happened. I had already declared myself as a fainter. What is it about my own blood? Am i THAT narcissistic?

Sandy, What can i say? I mean, learning how to faint would be easier for you two than learning Spanish, Turkish or German. You might consider it as a family bonding thing...haha

Mark, you're welcome. I knew you'd like this one too.

Mom, are you still laughing? Did Dad see the blog?

Dad saw the blog first and wouldn't let me see it until he was done. He thought that was fake blood under your head. And, yes, I'm still laughing.

Dad IS becoming computer savvy, Phillip. He can actually get online and get from one sight to another. Mom is always the one that writes to you on the blog because, although he can get around the internet like a semi-pro, he still types like a penguin with mittens on. Sorry, Dad, but you know it's true.
(In his defense, he is working on his typing, but how good can you get with that goofy keyboard Mom has.) Sorry, Mom, but you know it's true.

    See ya, Phillip.

I told you I owed you one. That one was at Dad's expense...but who's keeping track.

    See ya!

Today I told him to be thinking of what he would like for an email address. I'd like for him to have his own for business and church business purposes. He sent out his own Christmas wish list. I'm going to show him how to make his own comments on the blogs sometime.
He goes to the drudge report, fox news, and other such sites. He surprises me sometimes.

Wow! I don't think that I have ever laughed that hard!!!! Jonathon and Amber and I were looking at it together and we all really had a good laugh. Amber didn't really like the blood though. The picture were you were wondering were your blood went was probably my favorite, but it's not a good look for you Phil. Thanks for the laugh and I can't wait until Janet sees this!!!!

okay, i'm totally on board! i thought it was blood too at first and i loved the penguin comment!

thanks for not uploading ALL the pics, friend. but i have to say, i don't mind blood, it's the pain of how something happened that makes me squeamish!

Hey, I misspelled "squeamish" in the title. Oops. Thanks Angela for using the correct spelling in your comment. I edited the blog:)

I, too, thought it was blood, and I wondered to myself, "How on earth did that many Army men manage to drop Phillip on the ground after he passed out. I would not want to be in THAT unit!" I'm glad to read it was just a sweater. Still trying to figure out how a penguin would get mittens on without a thumb. Sometimes Mark says stuff that I just don't get. ;)

Oh, right, Laura...like I've neer heard that before! The point is that a penguin would a bad enough typist without mittens...thumbs or no thumbs.
Actually, it would be interesting to pit Dad againt a penguin with mittens on to see who actually is the better typist. It would be close, but the penguin would still win.
