Nuremberg
I wanted to try out a new city over the weekend. I chose Nuremberg...it was sort of a Nuremberg trial...haha. Nuremberg has the most famous/best Christmas market in Germany. The markets have lots of booths with things to buy and food to eat. I spent all my time (about 6 hours) in the old city of Nuremberg.
Here's a link to the yahoo folder with the other pictures in it. Enjoy. http://new.photos.yahoo.com/chicado77/album/576460762375971864

I wasn't going to comment on your Nuremburg trial "joke", but I just did (you know what I would say). Nice close-up on the bratwurst, by the way. I am really jealous seeing all of these cool old German towns. Wish I were there, but that's what the pictures are for...right?
Thanks for keeping up with your blog, it keeps you a little closer to us all. ( I am sure I speak for all of us - family and friends)
C ya!

I'm not entirely sure how many miles it is from Darmstadt to Nuremberg, but it took me about four hours by train...with two transfers. I guess that also answers the question of how I got there. I love traveling by train, so there was no question when it came to that choice. I'm really glad I didn't drive too. There were SO MANY people there, I'm sure I would not have found a place to park. It would have been a lot more hassle.
What a beautiful place it is!
